Rev. Fr. Brian Gore, SSC, a victim of Martial Law and one of the members of Negros Nine, will speak to the UNO-R SHS HUMSS students at the Little Theater, 1:30 pm today, September 22, 2017. The talk will focus on “Never Again to Martial Law; No to Tyranny”. This is sponsored by Sietar, Philippines and the UNO-R Office of External Affairs. The program will start with the Opening ceremonies where External Affairs Director, Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr, PhD. Will give the opening and welcome remarks. An Audio –visual presentation follows the address. Dr. Bernaldo Eres, President of Sietar Philippines, Inc. will give the introduction of the speaker. Mr. Ferdinand Yulo, Vice –President of Sietar Philippines will give the closing remarks.
Fr. Gore now heads the Negros Nine Foundation. He is one of the priests accused in the killing of then Kabankalan Mayor Pablito Sola. He stayed in prison, together with the other eight co-accused including the late Fr. Niall O’ Brien, SSC and Fr. Vicente Dangan. The case was later dismissed by virtue of the order of then President Ferdinand Marcos.
