The university held its Institutional Mass of the Holy Spirit with the theme: “Holy Spirit: the Source of Holiness.” at the university gym, June 23, 2017. The Concelebrated Mass was officiated by Bishop Emeritus Vicente Navarra, D.D. with concelebrating priests, Rev. Fr. Eduardo Celiz, OAR; Rev. Fr. William Villaflor, OAR; Rev. Fr. Walthrode Conde, OAR; Rev. Fr. Persiuz Joseph Decena, OAR, Fr. Donasco and Rev. Gayares. Bishop Navarra started his homily by commending the UNO-R for community coming up with a unique theme. He shared to the community that holiness could be practiced on the workplace. He said that holiness is doing one’s duty in his everyday life. It is opening of one’s heart to the will of God. He reminded everyone should do the right thing lest, the work become a Calvary for one. We have to look for the “miracle of grace”. He prays that the university will always produce holy Christian catholics that always fall back on the words of Jesus , “Learn from me for I am humble and meek of heart. He also requested the community to pray for him. It was also the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
