TWELVE UNORIANS JOIN IYEA CLOSING

Twelve (12) unorians join the closing ceremonies of the OAR International Year of Educational Apostolate (IYEA) at San Sebastian College – Recoletos, Manila, September 2 – 3, 2016. The ceremonies opened with a Eucharistic celebration with Rev. Fr. Dionisio Selma, OAR, OAR, Prior Provincial , as Main Celebrant and was followed by the parade of International flags and Philippine OAR school banners. A welcome address was given by SSC-R, Manila President, Rev. Fr. Nemesio Tolentin, OAR. A symposium was held with Rev. Fr. Emilio Quilatan, OAR talking about the History and contribution of the Order to Philippine education; Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr. and Mrs. Aliwalas on the Recoletos experience, challenges, and responses. In the afternoon, a cultural show was held with the UNO-R delegation headed by Fr. Latoza presenting the “Ang Bacolodnon ala Masskara dance number. Fr. Provincial closed the celebration of the IYEA with his sharing on the unity of recoletos education in the country. The second day was devoted to the tour to Las Pinas Bamboo Organ shrine; Shrine of St. Ezekiel Moreno; SSC-R Cavite; Fort San Filipe and the Aguinaldo Shrine. The UNO-R delegation was composed of Rev. Fr. Enrico Peter Silab, OAR; Rev. Fr. Abraham Latoza, OAR; Dr. Carmenda Leonoras; Dr. Nena Samillano; Mrs. Leila Magalona; Mrs. Lucille Montalvo; Mrs. Leah Garbanzos; Mrs. Ma.
