FR. PRIOR LEADS FOR GRADES 11 AND 12

Fray William Villaflor, OAR led the Mass of the Holy Spirit for Grades 11 and 12, June 26, 2019. The theme for the Mass was “Holy Spirit: The Gift of God’s Love, Empowering us to Love.” He was joined by Fray Don H. Besana, OAR; Fray Amadeo Lucero, OAR; Fray Jose Teodulfo Jadulco, OAR; and Fray Joaquin Jamelo, OAR. In His Homily, Fray Villaflor started with thanking the Lord for the opportunity to celebrate the Mass of the Holy Spirit. He reminded the community that we have to work together as a family, the Augustinian Recollect lifestyle of being communitarian. We should build a family atmosphere in our university. He also reminded everyone to continue aspiring to be with God. We need God’s help to realize our dream. God should be part of our dreams and aspirations. He reiterated that we need to reach out to one another with love and respect as we live in one community. Practice the virtue of humility and understanding when listening to others. He also reminded everyone that we share in the mission of Christ. His mission is our mission. We have to stay away from sin and make love the foundation of every action. Love inspires us and it gives meaning to all things. He reminded the teachers of their task in bringing their students closer to God. By doing so, teachers must first be closer to God too. “We have to be confident that it is the Holy Spirit that has brought us to this community.” he added. Lastly, Fray Villaflor told everyone not to lose hope for God cares for us; God loves us and God inspires us. Our unique vocation is to bring the love of God to others. After the Mass, Religious and Lay Administrators, Office Heads, Faculty, Staff, and Pamilya Rekoleto Officers for Academic Year 2019-2020 were introduced to the senior high school students in the Welcome Program last June 26, 2019 at the University Gymnasium. The program began with a welcome address from Fr. Persiuz Joseph M. Decena, OAR, the Integrated School Director, and an inspirational message from Fr. Don H. Besana, OAR, the University President.
