Religious and Lay administrators of UNO-Recoletos had a whole-day seminar workshop in institutional planning at the University’s President’s Hall last February 10, 2011. Rev. Fr. Cornelio Moral,OAR opened the program with an invocation and Rev. Fr. Dionisio Cachero,OAR, UNO-R Preisdent gave the rationale of the workshop and Dr. Roy John dela Torre, UNO-R Research, Planning and Development Director, discussed the mechanics of the workshop.

Fr. President in his opening remarks said that there is a need to realign and revisit the plans of the university to attune to the times. He also stressed the need for the administrators to do a viable budget that would balance the financial status of the university. He also challenged the participants to maximize the resource of the university without jeopardizing quality service.
The workshop proper was handled by Rev. Fr. Edcel Celiz, OAR and Mrs. Jocelyn Coniza,CPA on the new guidelines in budget preparations. Fr. Dionisio Cachero,OAR and Dr. dela Torre on the status of the 5-year Development Plan in the light of the PAASCU Recommendations.
The final output of the workshop was the Annual Operational Plan which was presented to the assembly.
In a related news, 5 administrators of the university attended a seminar on Academic Ranking and Human Resource issues organized by the Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) at the Shangri-la Hotel –EDSA last February 3-4, 2011. Rev. Fr. Walthrode Conde,OAR, UNO-R HRM Director; Rev. Fr. Joel Alve,OAR,VP-Academics; Ms. Nilda Jamili, Associate HRM Director; Mrs. Jo Coniza and UNO-R PRO Mr. Carlos Legaspi, Jr. are the administrators who attended the seminar.
