UNO-R once again made it to the top five of the SMART PalaECEPan Quiz Bee held last March 13-14, 2009 at the SM Megatrade Hall in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila. Cum Laude candidate for graduation in the forthcoming 63rd Commencement Exercises, Ria V. Dichosa, with coach Engr. Christopher Alunan, represented the school in the contest. PalaECEpan is an annual event sponsored by BSECE students coming from thirty-two (32) partner schools in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

The seminar was carried out at the urgent request of fifth year BSECE students who are currently working on their research design. This design is an individual requirement for all graduating BSECE students and involves the setting up of a microwave and satellite link between two terminal stations.
