Information and Communication Technology Department (ICTD)

The Information and Communication Technology Department takes charge to provide, operate, and maintain computing and telecommunication facilities, equipment, and services that meet the needs of the administrative, educational, and research program of the University.

Duties and Responsibilites

  • Controls the Information Management and supervises the IT personnel;
  • Provides leadership, vision, and management of ICT Department;
  • Works with the administration, faculty, and personnel to assess and respond to campus IT needs;
  • Oversees the revision of IT Strategic Plan on annual basis ensuring its coherence with the overall campus strategic plan;
  • Manages IT laboratories, its general operation in collaboration with the College of Information and Technology to meet academic and instructional requirements;
  • Manages Computer Laboratories (Basic Education, Engineering, Arts and Sciences, and Cyber Library) in terms of information and communication services to deliver quality and effective learning to the faculty and students;
  • Coordinates with other key entities in the development of Institutional Information Systems needed for efficient delivery of service;
  • Manages the University‚Äôs Information System;
  • Recommends technical acquisition, inventory, and disposition of hardware and software;
  • Administers annual budget for the department;
  • Develops institutional IT policy, guidelines, standards and procedures; and
  • Conducts activities relative to IT operation and information.
