As a humanizing profession, the Bachelor of Science in Social work will help you acquire liberal arts education based on human behavior, development and diversity; know and understand social systems, comprehensive foundation in the Social Sciences for an authentic and interdisciplinary foundation; master helping techniques to help individual, families, groups, and committees improve their social functioning; acquire a broad based understanding of social worker roles, functions, responsibilities, and commitment to service; and internalize basic social work philosophy, concepts, theories, and principles upon which a value – based practice is anchored.
