With that in mind, CAS Dean Nieves Hibaler-Pepito would love to try to do something “FIRST” to push her limits. Thus, she would like to put up a number of FIRSTS as her way of setting her mark as college administrator. Four of the nine points in her plan is all about creation. Particularly, she would like to create the CAS Technical Support Group in the areas of research, civic affairs, religious affairs, cultural affairs, legal affairs, special events, ranking, and students’ welfare. Under the students’ welfare, the speakers’ bureau, actors’ guild, writers’ guild, core of ushers and usherettes, and glee club will be organized. The CAS READS scholar Officers, CAS Alumni and Parent’s Assembly will also be organized. 
Other points in her plan include the putting-up of a CAS Wall of Fame, installing of whiteboards in all CAS classrooms, hosting of seminars, conferences or convocations, conducting medical dental in-house outreach programs, and building linkages by networking with NGOs, LGUs, and others. Because, for her, a man who laughs at ambitions is he who has none, the new dean thinks that one can only be limited by the boundaries of his mind. # |
