UNO-R appoints Hibaler-Pepito as new Dean of CAS PDF Print E-mail
 

The UNO-R School Board has appointed Nieves Hibaler-Pepito as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences for School Year 2010-2011. She has been Department Head of the English and Mass Communication Department for AY 2009-2010, and Department Head of the former Mass Communication Department for AY 2006-2007. She is both a PRC licensed teacher and a civil service eligible professional.

 

A product of UNO-R since her undergraduate years, Dean Hibaler-Pepito is a Master of Arts in Education, major in Teaching English.  She is a holder of two professional degrees, Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication and Bachelor of Arts in English. Presently, she is pursuing her Doctor of Education in Educational Management in UNO-R Graduate School.

As a teacher, she is handling MassCom major subjects like Public Relations, Developmental Communications, Advertising, Broadcasting, Film Appreciation, and Community Organizing.  Also, she teaches English subjects like Grammar and Composition, Literature, and other related general education subjects.

Aside from teaching, she had served as adviser of the UNOR Supreme Student Government for nine years, and was an organizer of school- based organizations, UNO-R Football Club and ARTSY Theater Guild. She also became the Cultural Commissioner of NOPSSCEA Cultural Task Force, and Adviser of Rotaract Club of Metro-Bacolod.

 Dean Hibaler-Pepito was also once a radio disc jockey and a scriptwriter of a Cebu-based AM-FM radio station and a production assistant of a TV giant in Manila.

Married to Wilfredo Herbieto Pepito, the new CAS dean from Escalante is a mother to six-year old Frances June.#
