  The Philippine Public Safety College – National Police Training Institute,  Regional Training Center 6 conducted a Seminar on Preventing and Countering Violent Extremism at the Little Theater, February 14, 2018 from 9:30 – 12:30.  PSupt Jimmy Laguyo, Regional Training Director, discussed the topic on “Terrorists’ Use of Internet in the Philippines.” PSupt Julie A. Cabrera talked on Community Anti-terrorist Awareness while PSInsp Randy Babor, Deputy Regional Training Director, RTC6, talked on the “the whole of the Nation Approach in countering Violent Extremism.”  SP02 Jose Rupe Panganonnong, School Investigator, RTC6 talked on detection of “Extremist Teachings” and TS2 Bernadette Bausing discussed Cultural Sensitivity and Radicalization of Foreign Nationals. The activity was spearheaded by the Office of the Safety and Security Department in cocperation with the Office of External Affairs. 3
