  The Blue and Gold Alumni Association; the Golden Jubilarians (HS Class ’68), the Ruby Jubilarians (HS Class ’78) and the Silver Jubilarians (HS Class ’93) sponsored the Grand Alumni Homecoming 2018.  The alumni affair was divided into two parts: the Grand Alumni Homecoming in the morning at the UNO-R Gymnasium and the Grand Alumni Night at SMX – Bacolod. The morning affair tagged as “#Back to 93” was sponsored by the Silver Class of 1993. It opened with a Thanksgiving Mass led by Rev. Fr. Ronel Gealon, OAR, UNO-R VP-Administration and alumnus of UNO-R BS Psychology class 1985.  Dr. Angelus Diamante gave the Welcome Remarks and Rev. Fr. Persiuz Decena, OAR, Director of Integrated School gave his Inspirational Message. Dr. Carlos Eduardo Legaspi, Jr., UNO-R Director for External Affairs and BGAA BOD gave the developments of the university and read the amendment to the by laws of the association. BOD Nonoy Magno sought for the approval by the assembly of the resolution to change the bylaws.  Hon. Guia Gomez gave her special message.  The affair was capped by the turning- over of the key of responsibility to Batch 1994 and the closing message of Eng. Reginald Tanalgo, President of HS Batch ’93. The evening affair tagged as “ Latino Night” at SMX, Bacolod opened with the beautiful entrance of colors and the blue and gold flags by the Ruby Jubilarians. Dr. Lucia Navales Antonio welcomed her fellow alumni from the different classes and guests.  After dinner, the Golden jubilarians entertained everyone with their cute and lively dance number.  This was followed by the awarding of the 11 alumni achievers of UNO-R. Rev. Fr. Jose Alden Alipin, OAR, UNO-R VP-Academics read the message  of the Father President. The FR. President, in his message, challenged the alumni to restore and rebuild the university auditorium for the auditorium is a legacy and is a living testimony of UNO-R. He also aligned the celebration with the lyrics of the Alma Mater Hymn.  After a resounding applause to the message of the Fr. President, the alumni was called into deep silence and prayer for the dearly departed members of the ONI, UNO, and UNO-R family.  The whole affair was closed by the overall chair of the alumni homecoming 2018 – Ms. Cheryl Romano of class ’78.  But she did not close the affair, she opened the dance floor. Former Congressman, now Bacolod City Administrator and School of Law alumnus John Orola graced the entire affair.
